RN-RDDi is a dual-frequency sonde (8 kHz or 33 kHz) for Radiodetection RD-385L, DrillTrack, or iTrack HDD location systems. Operating depth up to 12 meters. Operating time from a set of alkaline batteries (4000 mAh) is 55 hours. The RN-RDDi probe transmits 16 position values during rotation and the angle of inclination with an accuracy of 1%.

The frequency selection depends on the position of the transmitter when installing the batteries in the battery compartment:
8 kHz — the probe is installed with the head down (battery compartment up);
33 kHz — the probe is installed with the head up (battery compartment down).
Five seconds after installing the batteries and saving the selected position (head up or down), the sonde begins to operate at the desired frequency.
The sonde continues to operate for 40-50 seconds after the batteries are removed, so when changing the frequency, it is necessary to hold the probe for one minute without batteries.
